Best Stove For Base Camp
We have used this stove at our main base hunting camp and it works awesome. We use it for everything from keeping cooked food warm (while finishing up other items) to baking muffins, biscuits, etc. This is perfect for re-heating left overs and pre-cooked meals. Easily has enough capacity to handle 6-8 hunters. Run it maxed out when new for a while to burn off all the production oil and stink. The large burners actually allow better more consistent griddle cooking than our two burner Coleman stoves. We don't like the height of the burners but they work great. We still don't see a need for anything other than just the base model.
Take this all-in-one stove on your next trip
The camp oven is so efficient and well insulated that it allows you to bake more with less fuel. This insulation allows the oven to heat up much faster and retain the heat. In order for it to be held to camping regulations, it had to have a manual temperature control instead of an automatic temperature control, like your home oven. For best results do not pre-heat the oven like you would in your home oven. Simply light the oven, then put the food in, and monitor the temperature. If the temp rises to high, simply crack the door to release some of the heat.
