OPEN PONTIL BLACKGLASS CYLINDER INK OR MEDICINE BOTTLE FLARED LIP 1840s DUG

Description

A dark blackglass open pontil cylinder medicine or ink bottle dug from an 1840s outhouse privy pit....no embossing....Hand blown in mold...open pontil...thin flared lip....4 1/2"tall...blackglass (when held in strong light you can barely see that it is dark olive green)......2 chips on the flared lip; no other damage. A bit of light inside haze, but not bad. I believe this was probably an ink bottle, but it could also have been a medicine..
