The Vari-Layer design combats this via a layered blanket with increased fibrefill across those key areas that wrap closely around your horse, for longer lasting heat retention with less weight overall.One of our all time favorite horse blankets. The Rhino Original Vari-Layer Medium Turnout Blanket features a classic cut design, leg arches for freedom of movement, reflective strips, shine enhancing polyester lining and cross surcingles. Detachable hood is available separately.The unique Rhino Barrier Technology has a 1000D polypropylene outer layer which protects the waterproof and breathable underneath barrier layer. Polypropylene is 50-100% stronger than the coated polyester from which the majority turnouts are made. Under the outer layer, is the Waterproof Barrier Layer with AquaTrans (TM) coating to keep your horse dry. Next is the 250g vari-layer of thermobonded fiberfill insulation for longer lasting heat retention to keep your horse cozy.
